Bad Bad Cold

I must have picked something up on my flight back from Thanksgiving. I’ve had a killer cold this week and haven’t felt much like blogging. I’m what you would call a bad patient. I generally try to do too much when I’m sick, so I end up taking longer to get better. I’m trying something new this time – taking it easy as much as possible.  Work is so busy at the moment, but no one would want to see my face once they hear me open my mouth. I sound like someone ran over my vocal chords.

Being sick is never fun – and I tend to be a bit of a baby when I don’t feel well. I don’t want anyone to bother me yet I want someone to take care of me.

And what’s with the nose?  During what evolutionary step did the brilliant idea of blocking the ability to breathe through the nose when sick come about?  I mean, it can’t be a good idea to sleep with your mouth open.

One bright spot in all this – we discovered the joys of a Keurig coffee maker this week. This little genius of a machine makes a single cup at a time – and FAST.  The chai tea has been a welcome little remedy this week, all warm and spicy.  The little things mean a lot when you are under the weather.
